Novembers Doom
Chicago-based underground metal veterans NOVEMBERS DOOM are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year. The band, which formed in '89, have a long and storied past and are easily one of metal's most under-appreciated stalwarts. "We have always set a list of goals for this band," says founding vocalist Paul Kuhr, "and from the day I started this band, nearly every goal has been reached. From simply signing a record deal, and releasing a CD, to playing on European soil, we have been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to continue to attempt to finish that list, due to record label support, and our fans."
Avernus
"Extremely powerful death/doom metal in the style of the 90s death/doom bands. Heavy riffs, grunts and at times mournful violin synth. Their debut album is not representative of their current style as it includes clean vocals with Arab and Celtic influences. Their 'Sadness' demo has become cult, and after releasing their debut album, the band returned to a more mature version of this style. One of the best and heaviest death/doom acts around."

Act of Destruction
ACT OF DESTRUCTION: The idea and name were conceived as mere children, raised by a community of musicians in true Chicago Southside fashion. Metal Brothers John and Nigel Bravo have been listening to Metal since they were born and have always held it as a guaranteed way to escape the brutal realities of the filthy south suburbs. It is just so undeniably satisfying to experience music put together in this way that they couldn’t help but completely immerse themselves in it.
2007 saw the start of the idea beginning to manifest physically, as the two instigated public performances with a drum machine. Quickly drawing attention, Glenn Mendoza was recruited utilizing the internet. Bringing Ed Ingram into the family, Mendoza allowed the group to engage in weekly Sonic Destruction of large audiences, including sold out performances at The Pearl Room, legendary for providing Chicagoans with an elite Metal experience. Instantly recognized as well, was the band’s ability to capture and hold the complete room’s attention during a performance, allowing them to bring everybody to complete Aural Satisfaction at once, stated by fans to be, “Bringing the glory back to Metal!”
Divinity Compromised
Divinity Compromised is a melodic progressive metal band with a heavy yet accessible sound and a focus on musicianship as well as symphonic and electronic soundscapes

Divinity Compromised was formed in 2009 and features several veterans of the Chicago-area metal scene. The band has focused on creating a heavy, yet melodic and accessible sound with a focus on musicianship and soundscapes using symphonic and electronic elements. The band played its first shows in 2010 and has already played several prominent Chicago venues including Metro Chicago.

In addition to live performance, the band has been steadily honing its debut release, A World Torn, which will be unleashed in March 2013. The album's themes explore mankind's fascination with religion, destruction and its own future as the world continues to crumble around us. Full album support will commence in spring of 2013 in the Chicago area and surrounding regions, where Divinity Compromised will bring its unique soundscape to live shows everywhere.

What does the future hold for us as we fade out of existence?
