OS DEJO UNA ENTREVISTA REALIZADA POR CLANDESTINE METAL ZINE:
http://www.clandestinemetalzine.cl/
From the deeper of the Hungarian underground these two ignominous souls
(Grave Desecration & Necrosodomy + Hellfire Commander of Eternal War
and Pain) have proclaimed their anthems of fire and terror to
everywhere since 2009. Now with a debut album just released, called:
"Horns in the Dark" they expect to conquest to every insane metalheads
with their Old School Death Metal blasphemous and merciless. Do you want
to know more about their plans to conquest then just read the following
interview with Grave Desecration & Necrosodomy (Bass& Guitar).
C: Can you tell us a little story about the beginning of your band?
Grave Desecration & Necrosodomy: It has begun at the end of 2009. Hellfire Commander of Eternal War and Pain called me, what if we together would do a BLASPHEMY, ARCHGOAT influenced death metal because he always wanted to do this kind of music, but he never had a person who would like to play that. We've already played together in MÖRBID CARNAGE so it wasn't difficult to write the songs. Actually at the first rehearsal we've completed our first 2 songs. The song writing process was really fast so we've entered to Noise Lab Studio to record our debut EP "Sign of Moloch". We've recorded those 5 songs within 2 days. After it we've asked Sickness 666 to do us a logo and a cover. Our friend Leslie from Stygian Shadows Productions released it in MCD format, later Blood Harvest Records and Temple of Abomination Records re-released it on a one-sided 12"vinyl. We've never had any live shows yet. C: What is the meaning of the TYRANT GOATGALDRAKONA?
Grave Desecration & Necrosodomy: Choosing a name wasn't an easy thing. It has to describe our message about aggression and occultism. In the Scandinavian mythology galdrakona was the witch master. I think this name truly describes our whole music and message.
Grave Desecration & Necrosodomy: We've recorded it again in Noise Lab Studio with Dávid Fehér within a weekend. He has a mobile studio so he came down from Budapest to our hometown; Szeged where we could record our stuff. The recordings went really well, only the mastering was a little bit long because we've waited David's one of new studio stuff. As you compare "Sign of Moloch" with "Horns in the Dark" you can definitely hear that it was worth to wait. We really dig the final result. For us it's the best sounding album that we've ever played!
C: And about the artwork. Tell us why did you decide to work with Mark Riddick?
Grave Desecration & Necrosodomy: Sickness 666 did our logo and our EP's artwork, but we've lost the contact with him so we had to find another artist to do the job. Mark Riddick was a perfect choice! His black and white works are really awesome!
C: How did you get contact with him?
Grave Desecration & Necrosodomy: We've simply wrote him a mail that we would like him to do our debut full length record's artwork and he answered back fast! It was a big surprise when he told us that he already knows and likes our band! C. Are you fans of his works?
Grave Desecration & Necrosodomy: We are big fans of his works! I think he is one of the best metal artwork artists!
C: What are your faves Mark Riddick's works?
Grave Desecration & Necrosodomy: It's hard to choose because the most of his works are really amazing! Personally I better like his newer works, but from the past I would choose the EXCRESCENT demos' artworks or TORTURE KRYPT's "Bestial Mutation" cover art!
C: Did you have seen his book? I mean "The Compendium of Death?
Grave Desecration & Necrosodomy: No we haven't seen his book physically but I want to order it in the near future! I saw some pictures of his book and it looks really awesome! It's definitely worth to buy it!
C: Under What label (s) was released your album?
Grave Desecration & Necrosodomy: Mark really liked our debut album and showed to his twin brother Mike who has a label called Metalhit Records. He wrote us about to release our record. "Horns in the Dark" released on February 5th 2013 in ecopack CD format limited to 300 copies. Blood Harvest Records will release it in this year in 12" vinyl format with a different cover artwork which will be done by Mark Riddick again.
C: Your EP "Sing of Moloch" was released under Stygian Shadows Records on CD version right? And then Temple of Abomination & Blood Harvest Records released the vinyl version I 'm wrong? I can see will happen with "Horns in the Dark" the same thing, right?
Grave Desecration & Necrosodomy: Yeah, you're right! Stygian Shadows Productions released 500 copies of it in 2010. In 2011 Temple of Abomination Records hit us up on Myspace and told us that he wants to release it in vinyl format. After several e-mails Blood Harvest Records joined to the collaboration. For the final steps of the vinyl released I've only contacted to Rodrigo from Blood Harvest. They released it in October 2012 when we've finished our full length record. I've shown to Rodrigo and he really liked it so he'll release it in 12" vinyl within this year.
Grave Desecration & Necrosodomy: Yeah, he did our logo and our EP's artwork. I think he did an awesome job even Mark Riddick really like that cover! We wanted to him to do our full length record's artwork too. We've talked about it in e-mail but in the middle of a conversation he stopped to answer. I wrote him some mails but he didn't answer. We don't know what happened to him. We didn't have any arguments with him and he wanted to do the artwork for the full length record but something happened. We hope everything is OK with him!
C: What can you tell us about MÖRBID CARNAGE?
Grave Desecration & Necrosodomy: MÖRBID CARNAGE is a thrash metal band. I've joined to them in December 2008. Hellfire Commander of Eternal War and Pain is the vocalist and the drummer too just like in Tyrant Goatgaldrakona under the name of Blasphemy. We have 3 releases, a split with Concrete released by Stygian Shadows Productions and two full length records. Our debut album "Night Assassins" which released by Pulverised Records in 2010 and "Merciless Conquest" which released by Metalhit Records in 2013. If you like aggressive thrash metal you definitely have to check us out!
C: Please tell us to our readers something about your others bands I mean GRAVECRUSHER & NECROSODOMY?
Grave Desecration & Necrosodomy: Both of them are death metal bands influenced mainly by Swedish and Finnish bands. The difference between them that in Necrosodomy we use the typical Swedish buzzsaw death metal sound and I do the vocals too. Necrosodomy was born in the end of 2010. We've recorded a demo entitled "Eternal Darkness" which has released by Stygian Shadows Productions on tape. Blood Harvest Records going to re-release it on 7" vinyl format later this spring. Currently we are "on hold" mode, but in the summer we'll continue the song writing for our next releases! I can tell the same story about Gravecrusher too. We've formed in May 2012. Stygian Shadows released our demo, "Mutilation Ritual" in October and Blood Harvest Records re-release it on 7" vinyl version later this spring just like the Necrosodomy's demo. With Gravecrusher we're currently writing songs for our full length record.
C: In your others bands you play under the name of "Disguster" right? Why did you change your name to Grave Desecration & Necrosodomy to play in TYRANT GOATGALDRAKONA?
Grave Desecration & Necrosodomy: A lot of black/death metal bands using long names for their alias like BLASPHEMY, BHERIT and PROCLAMATION. We just wanted to do it because as far as I know no one did this earlier in Hungary and we really dig this kind of music and attitude! And of course if you saw the name of the members you can expect what kind of music you will hear!
C: The lyrics concept of the band is dark, direct and blasphemous; you do not concentrate largely on painstakingly songs. Explain to us how important is for your band to express darkness, blasphemies and occultism?
Grave Desecration & Necrosodomy: Hellfire Commander of Eternal War and Pain writes all of the lyrics. Most of the lyrics are spiritual pictorial visions and often about the occultism and the eastern magic. The inspirations for the lyrics are the brute, dark reality and the hypocritical humanity. We wanted to create bestial music with dark atmosphere and occult message. Musically we only worship the ancient line.
C: According you is it important that a D.M band maintain an image and lyrics in equilibrium with music?
Grave Desecration & Necrosodomy: Of course it's important! If you play Death Metal with your soul the image and the lyrics should be equilibrium with the music!
C: Now please tell us something about your beloved Hungary. Do you have idea about the beginning of Metal in your country? And how this style came to be and what were the pioneer Extreme metal bands from Hungary?
Grave Desecration & Necrosodomy: There are some big pioneers here! In the 80's there was Pokolgép which is a cult heavy metal band and Tormentor which is a well known black metal band. At the beginning of the 90's there were some great metal acts like EXTREME DEFORMITY, AHRIMAN, CULTIC PULP and UNFIT ASS.
Grave Desecration & Necrosodomy: The Hungarian metal scene is starting to awake! A lot of new great bands has formed and released their material just like SVOID, LIMB FOR A LIMB, GRIMNESS, DUNKELHEIT, DRÜNKEN BASTARDS or there are older acts like GIRE, THY CATAFALQUE, AGE of AGONY and AHRIMAN. About zines there are some awesome ones like Stygian Shadows, Tales of the Morbid Butchers, Fekete Terror. And we have some great labels to like Stygian Shadows Productions, Sigillvm Tenebrae Records and Southland Records. In our hometown Szeged there is only one place fit for extreme music and its Club Noir! It's small a little bit I like it really much! At Budapest you can play in Red & Blue Hole or DÜrer kert.
C: Do you have plans to play live?
Grave Desecration & Necrosodomy: We don't have any plans to play live yet, but if we'll play sometime it'll be a total crushing death metal show with blasphemous atmosphere!
C: What are the future plans for TYRANT GOATGALDRAKONA?
Grave Desecration & Necrosodomy: We're currently waiting the release for the vinyl version of "Horns in the Dark". And we have 2 songs for a 7" split, but I can't tell more about it yet. We have a lot of other bands so I think we'll only begin to work on the new songs only in 2014.
C: Well, thanks a lot for this interview, some to add?
Grave Desecration & Necrosodomy: Thanks for the questions! Support the underground!
