IMPORTANT FESTIVAL INFO:

CAMPING:
You get FREE camping included with your ticket.

ADDRESS:
Common Ground 2016 will be held near the beautiful Forest of Dean (post code to be released soon). The site will be open from 15:00 on Friday 2nd September and you will be required to leave the site by 12:00 on Monday 5th September.

SHOPS:
There will be local shops about 15/20 minutes away by foot. There will be vegan food and soft drinks sold on site by Teatime Collective and we will have a bars selling alcohol. Drinking water will be freely available from water points on site.

ALCOHOL:
Feel free to bring your own alcohol, but please remember there will be an on-site bar to help quench your thirst! There will be plenty of bins around the site so please dispose of your waste responsibly.

DRUGS:
As always we want a safe space for all at our events and as always a zero tolerance drug policy.

SECURITY:
Please be aware that there will be SIA badged security, you will be searched when entering the festival.

DOGS:
Unfortunately, there will be NO DOGS ALLOWED (except registered assistance dogs with prior notice). The last dogs that were permitted onto the festival site, were permitted as long as they were on a lead and with a human at all times. This was an ideal situation and meant that people didn't have to arrange alternatives for their animal companions. Unfortunately, too much time and energy of the festival crew went into taking responsibility for the activity of dogs who were not under constant supervision. We spent a lot of time cleaning up dog faeces, which is a particularly serious hazard for children at the festival, and trying to safeguard the local wildlife and farm animals. Common Ground is an all-ages festival, and needs to be a safe space for all.

NOISE:
There is a site-wide curfew for amplified music at midnight each night. We do our best to provide satisfactory entertainment for the weekend, so please leave your sound systems at home, and don’t try to provide your own all-night disco on the campsite. This is due to the festival being an all ages event and the licensing of the festival site. Please be considerate of other campers and keep noise to a minimum in the camping field after midnight. If you want to stay up, come hang out by the fire... it'll be warmer and more fun!

FIRES and BBQ:
There will be no personal fires or BBQ's allowed. This is both for the safety of everyone, and prevention of damage to the ground of the festival site. Camping stoves are ok as long as they are off the ground. This is to prevent damage to the site and to reduce the fire risk. Tents are extremely flammable, so only use stoves outside for everyone's safety. Common Ground will be providing our own fire-pit areas for everyone to enjoy :)

LIVE-IN VEHICLES and PARKING:
We have limited space this year for live-in vehicles, so you will need to apply for a live-in vehicle pass when you buy your ticket. This is only available to campervans and not cars or passenger vehicles due to space restrictions. All passenger vehicles and live-in vehicles without a pre-booked pass will be parked outside the festival site in the car park. We have an area designated for live-in vehicles with passes inside the festival site, they will NOT be parked in the main car park.

If you are not in a live-in vehicle, please remember to bring your tents, festival camping & survival essentials! No car-park kippers, or hypothermic sozzlers ;) If you have specific needs or a disability that require us to make any exceptions to this, then get in touch directly to discuss arrangements.

CHILDREN:
Attendees must stay within the designated festival boundaries and children must be supervised by an adult at all times. The site is close to deep water so this is especially important. Needless to say, no swimming for your own safety.

TOILETS:
This is a DIY festival so please remember WE clean the toilets. Please respect that. We think it is self explanatory.

Smash the System, not the Cistern!

Ears to the ground.
